It is a wonderful blessing to have a child who is society conscious and cares for those in need. You can encourage your budding philanthropist to get involved with HHUGS in a variety of ways:
– Does your child enjoy communicating and fundraising? They can motivate family, friends and teachers to fill up one of HHUGS’ penny boxes. Children can “compete” with each other to see who can fill up it the fastest. HHUGS can also send each child a goody bag to help them in collecting donations and there are rewards/prizes for those who raise the most money.
– Do you have the next Picasso right at home? You can encourage your child to design beautiful Eid cards with their own personal touch and even make Eid gift boxes for the children of beneficiaries.
– Is your child an excellent all-rounder? They can sign up for any number of sponsored activities such as:
· Sports day
· Sponsored silence (a parent favourite!)
· Skipathon
· Swimathon
· Walks
· Non-uniform day
· Tea party
· Cake sale
HHUGS also provides programs for schools, scouts, madrasahs and youth groups. We are very happy to visit and do a presentation on the work that we do.
