Join the author  Victoria Brittain  as she discusses the moving and at times shocking stories revealed in her latest book  with Iraqi novelist, artist and political activist  Haifa Zangana.

Shadow Lives:  The Forgotten Women of the War on Terror  reveals the unseen side of the ‘9/11 wars’: their impact on the wives and families of men incarcerated in Guantanamo, or in prison or under house arrest in Britain and the US.

Victoria Brittain  is journalist and former editor at the Guardian, she has authored or co-authored two plays and four books, including  Enemy Combatant  with Moazzam Begg.  Shadow Lives: The Forgotten Women of the War on Terror  was published this year.

Haifa Zangana  works include  City of Widows,  Dreaming of Baghdad  and  The Torturer in the Mirror.  She has advised the UNDP, ESCWA and Brussels Tribunal, and contributes to al-Quds and the Guardian.

There will be a question and answer session at the end.
