Eid Mubarak!

TaqabbalAllahu minna wa minkum. May Allah (SWT) accept this worship from us and from you.

On behalf of all our beneficiaries, volunteers, staff and trustees, HHUGS wishes you and your loved ones a blessed Eid.

Thank you for supporting our families throughout these 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah. Because of your generosity, we’ve been able to provide 137 families and around 500 individuals with Qurbani meat this Eid.

Our team will soon be travelling up and down the country, hand delivering your sacrifice to families in need; to single mothers who are struggling to feed their children.

“My mother would get meat on Eid. These small acts become a rope for us to hold onto. If I could say anything about HHUGS I would say that it reminds me of the kinds of sacrifice made by the Sahaba for each other.” – HHUGS Beneficiary

We pray that Allah (SWT) accepts your Qurbani and rewards both you and your family in this life and the next.

Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter…” – Prophet Muhammad (SAW) (Muslim)

As well as feeding our beneficiary families, your donations have covered the cost of prison visits, uniting children with fathers, wives with husbands, and mothers with sons.

You’ve saved countless families from eviction and severe debt, giving them the chance to lead a stable life.

“HHUGS provided me with vouchers so we could buy food and clothes. They helped me clear my rent arrears from when my husband was in prison; they helped me pay the electricity and gas bills; they helped get my driving licence and they even paid the rental deposit for my house.” – Celeste, HHUGS Beneficiary

Your donations have allowed us to organise Eid parties in London, Bradford and Birmingham so our beneficiary families don’t have to spend Eid alone.

And because of the gifts you donated to them, our beneficiary children can – for one day – smile through their trauma, enjoy Eid, and be carefree again.

“The Eid parties, the presents – it’s made me feel as though I’m not alone. You get together with other families and it makes you realise it’s not only you going through this struggle. It’s like they’re family, they are a part of us and we are a part of them. My children were so pleased to see me happy and smiling.” – HHUGS Beneficiary

Even if you weren’t able to perform Hajj this year, we ask that Allah (SWT) rewards your charity, saves you from the Fire and grants you a house, near Him, in Jannah.

Ameen
