HHUGS is the only UK registered charity currently supporting almost 200 families – almost 700 individuals who have been ostracised and stigmatised by society as a result of national security measures.

When and where is it?

The masquerade ball will be held on Saturday 2nd March 2019 at the Impression Event Venue in East London.

Is the event sisters only?

We asked women what kind of event they wanted to see from HHUGS and an overwhelming response for a sisters’ only event. All waiting staff and staff will be women only.

The event is strictly women only so that those who cover can feel comfortable to dress up in a men free and hijab free zone, and dress in whatever they feel comfortable in!

No boys over 9 years old.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is formal, gown wear. There will be an award for best dressed, so be sure to dress to impress!

Do we have to wear masks?

It is entirely up to you if you are comfortable wearing a mask or not. We hope it’ll add to the intrigue and excitement on the night for those of you who do! If you don’t have your own mask, you have the option of purchasing one at the online checkout here or at our reception.

What activities will happen?

We will be having a fashion show, inspirational spoken word, an uplifting address from Fatima Barkatulla, silent auction, best dressed award and a host of entertainment.

I have an allergy, can you accommodate my dietary requirements?

We will do our best to speak to the caterer to ensure this but please discuss it with us individually by emailing/calling as dependant on the caterer.

How do I get there?

The event is a short walk from West Ham station. Please check your route beforehand to ensure you arrive on time.

Is there parking?

Yes there are 100 free parking spaces available on a first come first serve basis.

Are children allowed?

Yes children are allowed but if they require a seat, we request you book a seat for them.

Children are aged 4 – 12.

Infants aged 0-3 are free.

No boys over 9 years old.

What is the ticket price for children?

Earlybird ticket £15

Regular ticket £20

Who is eligible for the student discount?

Current university students are eligible for student discount.

What time is the event expected to finish?

The event will finish at 10:30 PM

How will the event proceeds be used?

The proceeds from the event will be used to help vulnerable families in the UK financially, emotionally and practically.
