Nakheel Women’s Group is one of the only female led community based organisation that provides a holistic programme for sisters. As well as providing sisters with a space to learn, Nakheel aims to build sisterhood, provide tarbiyyah and develop firmly grounded sisters, the nurturers of generations. For the past few years, Nakheel has been successfully running regular classes, seminars and projects whilst catering for the needs of mothers by providing crèche facilities.

This year Nakheel are hosting an online course for women as part of their Ramadhan Programme 2021 on topic of The Guiding Light. A 4-week detailed study of Surah An-Nur, to run throughout the beautiful month of Qur’an. The Tafseer will be taught and delivered by Shaykh Shaqur Rehman.

As part of their Ramadhan Programme, Nakheel have partnered with HHUGS to provide the attendees of the course the opportunity to reap rewards upon rewards, as funds raised from the course will go towards supporting HHUGS (Helping Households Under Great Stress). As well as providing a platform to raise funds for HHUGS and Nakheel with HHUGS’ very own leaderboard.

Who are Nakheel Women's Group?

Nakheel is a women-led community-based organisation that serves as a platform for engagement, development and enlightenment of Muslim women. We take inspiration from the wives of the Prophet (saw) and other female companions who inspired women to seek knowledge and remain firm in faith through exemplifying such characteristics.

In today’s society where there is a shortage of personal growth and Islamic development of Muslim women, we aim to provide a long term Tarbiyyah programme in a female-friendly environment where Muslim women can learn and find belonging, unity and ultimately sisterhood. For the past few years, Nakheel has been successfully running regular classes, seminars and projects whilst catering for the needs of mothers with children by providing crèche facilities.

Alhamdulillah we have a growing team of sisters who help to expand our work every year, from organising public conferences, to charity fundraising bazaars and many other sisters lead initiatives for the community.

The name ‘Nakheel’ takes inspiration for the Arabic for date palm tree. The date palm is known for having strong foundations, which can withstand tough conditions. On top of providing sisters with a space to learn, we aim to build sisterhood, provide tarbiyyah and develop firmly grounded sisters, the nurturers of generations.

We welcome all sisters who are eager to learn about the deen and seeking a sense of unity and sisterhood.
The Prophet (saw) said, “Verily, Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who love each other for the sake of my glory? Today, I will shelter them in my shade on a day when there is no shade but mine.” (Sahih Muslim)
