When something is done well, we do it again. Previously, we shared with you, ’30 Reminders to Uplift the Heart’ and we’re back this Ramadhan with part two. We’ve never been more in need of being enveloped in His Mercy and of finding comfort in the light of His Beneficence.
“My mercy encompasses all things” (Qur’an 7:156)
When our hearts and souls tire of the injustices and hardship in this world that we both suffer and witness, we long to be reminded of our purpose as believers; to be given a reminder to lighten our path, and keep us steadfast.
The Ummah has united like never before, seeing first-hand the atrocities our brothers and sisters face around the world. As we watch the turmoil unfold, we pray and protest, boycott and donate, but still our souls cannot be put at ease.
Ramadhan comes at a time when we desperately need it. It delivers tranquillity to sorrowful hearts. Although our predicament may still remain difficult, the month gifts us an opportunity to find solace in Him, and Him alone. After all, the peace we search for cannot be found in this world, in a person or thing. It can only be found with Allah, ‘azza wa jall. This booklet is a reminder of that.
“So verily, with hardship, there is relief. Verily, with hardship, there is relief.” (Qur’an 94:5-6)
We believe what you consume influences and impacts you – from the words you read on your social media feed, to the podcast you listen to. That’s why we’ve carefully collated 30 reminders for this exact purpose. To uplift and heal the most important part of you, your heart. As the saying goes, ‘an apple day keeps a doctor way’, we believe a reminder a day, keeps your heart firm and steady.
We hope and pray that this booklet serves as a reminder to our readers that, although it may feel as though you’re drowning, there’s always khayr in your test, to be patient and trust in His Plan.
“Allah does not charge a soul except (with that within) its capacity.” (Qur’an. 2:286)
Allah is al-Wakeel, the Disposer of Affairs. To Him do we turn to take care of our difficulties and to set us on a path that is beneficial.
May Allah allow us to pocket the mercy and blessings of Ramadhan, to seal the month attaining His Pleasure and Forgiveness, stronger in our faith. May He heal the hearts of His Slaves and allow them to find solace in Him, ameen.
